I have the INtel D865BGF motherboard and a Lian LI 65 PC Case and Antec 430W True Power supply.

OK..Here are some more questions for you guys and gals

1) I have hooked up the RESET SW cable both ways in the proper location on the motherboard. Neither way works when I hit the small soft reset button on the front of the case.

2) I have also hooked up the HDD LED cable both ways in the proper location on the motherboard. Neither way works when I look for the HDD LED to blink

3) There is a fan speed setting on the front of the case. 1,2 or 3. If I move this to 2 or 3, nothing differs?

Any ideas??

Please help

You should look very closely at the diagram of your front panel header in the manual. You must have the things plugged into the wrong locations. The reset switch will work in either orientation, the HDD and power LEDs do have to be connected at the correct polarity. If they don't work in the first orientation, just flip them around 180° and try again. Try using the reset switch as the power switch (it's a momentary switch just like the power switch is) to see if there an actual problem with the switch itself.

What do you mean "front of the case"? You mean that there's actually a switch or knob on the front of your case that claims to set the fan (what fan, Case fan, CPU fan??) speed and it doesn't work? Or is there a setting in the BIOS that says it can control the fan speed? Need more info before I can attempt this one. :)

Here is a link of my case. Under the LED lights on the front of the case is a black switch which moves to 3 different speeds (1,2, or 3) The instructions say they are fan speed switch. All fans turn when I turn the PC on. They are just turning on the slowest setting...Should I check my BIOS? But the Bios would only control the fans hooked up to the Mainboard right?

A switch on the case will only control the fans that are plugged into it. Check on the back of the bezel somewhere for a place to plug these fans into.

Fans plugged directly into the mobo fan headers will not be able to be controlled by some external fan header/switch.

Did you get your wiring issue figured out?

I think I know why the 1,2,3 fan speed switch does not work. My Antec true power 430W PSU controls the fan speeds of (up to 3 fans) which are plugged into the PSU's special FAN OLNY power supply cables, both the front two fans and the top of the case fan are plugged into this cable.

When I get home I will plug these three fans into normal power cables from the PSU and see if the switch works. (I hope it does)

I still can not get the HDD LED, and Reset SW switches to work. All the connections look good on the motherboard and on the actual case

Here is how it is set up

Anyone have any ideas?
