Questions about In-Dash Navi units

I'm looking at Crutchfield and I see that Pioneer and Eclipse both make in-dash units that fit my parent's Camry. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these aftermarket units compared to the typical OEM units?

Are the maps and directions quick to calculate and display? Any strong negatives with these units?

Most that I've used are actually faster than most OEM nav units at calculating routes.

The problem you're going to have is that it will IMMEDIATELY be stolen.

I was looking at the units that sit flush with the dash. Not that ones with the flip up screen.

Do you still think it would cause attraction? I've never really heard of people stealing OEM Navi units because they all sit flush with the dashboard.
