Questions about getting a second card.

I currently have a Gigabyte 6950 2GB with 6970 shaders only unlock. Its a reference design card and I have noticed that none of the current 6950's are reference anymore. So will I run into any problems getting a new 6950 by a different brand?

You'd have to get lucky unlocking the second card, or you'd have to change it back to an HD 6950.

Reference/Brand don't matter.
