Questions about Frys Electronic Warranty

Last year, I bought a compaq presario laptop for about $1,700 w/ 3 years warranty on it. 8 months later, I started getting this bootup problems/freeze problems that last for 10-25 mins, and sometimes while im surfing the internet, the notebook shutdown. I thought I got a virus or whatever, so I use the restore cd. After the restore cd, the laptop started to act fine for a few days or so like the first time I got it. Then, its started to get the same problem I had. It has been 4 months now, and I just use the restore cd my laptop for the 10 times. Now, everytime I start the notebook, the Window XP login bootscreen doesn't showup or its takes 45 min to reach the window login screen. This notebook has been pissing me off and I can't find a way to fix this.

p4 3.0ghz
512MB
60 GIG

Anyway, since I bought a 3 year warranty, do I just bring it to frys? Will they give me a replacement or try to fix it by using the restore cd or (I hope not since i try it)?

Take it in, let them know, they'll try to repair it. Most likely they will give you a loner laptop if you ask. Just be sure to ask if that was included on your warranty. Our Performance Service Contracts are really good, and I even buy them and I work there. It's a good deal. Make sure you take advantage of it!!
