Questions about Evolution Mail

I have Evolution set up, it seems to be very complete and well laid out. One very annoying thing is that I have to put my password in the first time I open it after the computer was restarted so it can access something called the "keychain." I don't even know what that is.

Before I get too involved in learning it and setting it up, should I check out Thunderbird? What do you all use for mail and calendar programs in Linux?

Huh, Thunderbird doesn't have a calendar... That's too bad, it is sort of necessary for me. What do people think of Evolution then?

Thunderbird does have a calendar, though it's an extension and not built in. Check your package manager for "lightning". It also appears that it will be integrated in 3.0.

As for Evolution, it is pretty nice, though it is overkill for me. I just use Opera's built in client for both Linux and Windows.

I use Evolution on Opensuse 10.2. It works easily and natively with my work's exchange server. Maybe Thunderbird can too, but I never looked in to it. I do not get prompts for passwords when opening the program after a reboot though....well, I don't think I do. (I don't reboot often).

I'm having a really annoying problem where I have to enter my password everytime I open Evolution after restarting, anyone know what's up with that?
