Does anyone find it odd that Edwards who barely won his first Senate election could not run again because the polls were so against him? Isn't it odd that the people in his state basically did a 360 since he was elected giving him one of the lowest levels of support ever for a Senator seeking re-election? Does it have to do with his dismal attendance record, or just his politics? I am just curious, because he must have told some whoppers to get elected to have pissed this many people off.

But seriously people should think of this. Why would one of the least liked Senators be propped up by the Democrats, and why will America be asked to like him if almost no one in his home state does? I think these are valid questions that surpise, the media is not asking, and will not ask.

You've already authored one thread regarding Edwards, no need to start another.

Good answers. Seems you are the best of the libs with that witty and intelligent response.

Could it be his state, it's a miracle he was elected the first time. Stick Cheney in NY and see if he wins a Senate seat.

This is a pretty shameless bit of trolling on your part (either that, or your opacity is matched by your ignorance). IIRC no senator has been re-elected into that seat in 30 years or more, and this kind of ratings falloff is the norm. I have never lived in NC, so perhaps your question should properly be directed toward someone who does, like balibabydoc.

I believe you mean the voters did a 180, not a 360.

This is the type of discussion I like and it's unfortunate that others who know more about Edwards do not like speculative type discussions.

Maybe after the election we will be able to speak more openly about things like this. You're just picking the wrong time man.
