#1 What programs actually benifit from dual processors?
#2 Is it true that a program has to be programed to use dual processors?
#3 Why don't they design a board that allows all programs to benifit from dual processors. Like having 2 video chips on a video card. Or SLI.

1) Benefit for dual processors is usually a better load distribution of work. I can do more with less. I usually have many programs up and running at the same time and its useful to have less slowdown.

2) Yes it partially true. OIf you have a good multithreaded OS kinda like win2k you can get benefits from 2 processors. Usually though, to get the full effect it has to be coded for 2 processors.

3) I don't know.. they should but I don't know why
