Questions about donating computers...

Well, i've got a ton of old computers in my basement I want to donate (most in the PII 133-500mhz range, though there are some ancient 286's and 486's there too..), but I have no idea how to go about donating *in order to get a tax deduction.*

I found a site after a quick google search (www.giftsforsight.org) which says they pick up the stuff, do all the paperwork, etc (which is convenient as fitting a lot of stuff in my civic is kinda hard..).

So...is there anything I should know about donating for a tax writeoff? Or is it just a simple and straightforward process (in terms of dealing with paperwork)?

the article claims that individuals can't expect a tax write off for donations. i can't believe that to be true, so i'll keep looking.
