Questions about Dell laptop shipping

I just bought a laptop and a phone from dell. So far, they have been the worst etailer i have ever dealt with. Also, quick question, when they ship their laptops, do they come in a big box, with the laptop in its own box inside ? Is the packing slip inside the laptop or the big box ?

Changed your title to reflect the question was about shipping, not about the laptops themselves. That'll save the other mods from coming into the thread, thinking this thread belonged in the laptop forum.

Dell was the worst etailer you've ever dealt with? I've purchased quite a few things from them & have only had problems with a return & with tech support once. (They couldn't RMA a doa monitor until a tech diagnosed the problem - the tech couldn't diagnose the problem because I didn't purchase a complete system. And the tech support case was when my power supply went bad. I diagnosed it myself, only to go through tech support, have to completely tear down the computer, only for them to diagnose the motherboard. It was the power supply.)

If it's already shipped, what difference does this make?
Will you be dead before it gets there and thus unable to see it?

Also, when we purchased a laptop for our son, the laptop box was shipped inside another big brown box. Actually, there were two boxes in the big brown box. Laptop in one & a bunch of other stuff in the other.

awesome, i appreciate your responses !!

They havent provide me a tracking number in like 24 hours, yet the item has been shipped.
They originally delayed the shipment for another week until i called them, thats where they apparently fixed the issue...

I'm pretty pissed off at dell right now. I ordered somethign that supposed to be in stock and ready to ship. It would have been here tomorrow. Not I got an email that says its delayed till the 9th.

I tried calling and I couldnt understand what the guy was trying to say.
