Questions about changing username

I have a couple questions about a forum username change:

If one were to request a username change, does it change all the previous posts to the new username or just new posts made after the change?

Do we PM a mod to request a username change or is the new method to post a request to the Moderator Discussion forum?

A username change affects all previous posts. Basically we're going into the database and changing the name on your account, so old posts will reflect the new name.

As for requesting a change, please create a thread in the Moderator Discussion forum requesting a name change and the new name you'd like.
