questions about a luke warm deal on 19" monitor

I just recently bought a monitor at best buy (yesterday) I purchase the samsung dynaflat for about 299 after rebates it has a .24 dot pitch and 85 hrz refresh at 1600x1200, but it was a tough call between that and a fd trinitron kds monitor that was about 30 $more I think it had a slightly higher dot pitch perhaps .25 and a 75 hrz refresh which monitor do you think is the better deal what is the difference between the dynaflat tube and the fd trinitron tube, also I have notices a white glowing haze against my all black wall paper around where ever there are lighter colored pixels what causes this and is it a defect?
any comments greatly appreciated,

I just bought the very same monitor from bb. I see no such haze. This monitor rocks.
Sorry to say you may have to exchange it. I wouldn't give up on the 955, let it settle
for a couple days and if you still have the haze exchange.
