Each test module (Core and Windows/Mac) was, the last time I checked, $100.00. Does it gaurantee you a job? No.

The A+ is just a base cert nowadays. It helps extremely to have one, but you really need more than just the A+ to compete.

Say, the A+, the Net+, and maybe a CSS cert. Or heck, go for the MCSA.

But definately get the A+. I have an A+ course with my courses Im taking at ECPI, and classes are about 300 each, but thats with other courses, so I cant tell you what an A+ course would be on its own.

Vouchers for the A+ test
Here you go for the test. It's a $107 dollars each part (core and OS). Very easy test, just look over some specific stuff like IRQs and how a laser printer works. I don't have a job yet but haven't looked for one either (I'm only 17). Too much school work and not enough time. Don't take a course for this cert, I'd rather buy a book.

There is no Mac portion of the test. Now much of it focuses on windows 2000. And although it does not gaurantee you a job at all, I'd say its better than nothing. IT industry isn't the same as two years ago.

I can get a scholarship for A+ from my school, so it will cost me nothing, and then they'll let me help with computers at school.

If you have the time, get it. It won't get you a job just because you have it but it doesn't hurt your chances either.
