questions about 8800GTs

I was lookin at the core clock and it was only 500MHz

so the questions

Can it run games at max settings with pretty much no suttter at 1680x1050?
Do the dx10 cards ( 8800GT ) requeire vista?

Maby even at a higher res too.
Overclock that baby a bit and you got yourself a 8800GTX

I run every game I own at 1920 x 1200 max settings and these baby breezes through it.
