Questiong about CPUs, Help appreciated...so confusing...

Guys, I do alot of graphic design work...and planning on building a new system for myself
should I got with Intel or AMD

wither Intel 3.2 or a comparable AMD 3200?


well....while lookiing at the cpus at Newegg...I was confused by all the different model number...

like why is a Intel 3.2 with 512cache more expensive then one with 1MB cache????????????
(very confused about this)

So which is fast exactly? shouldn't the more expensive one be better in some sort of way??

Also wat does that E/C behind meant?

Northwood/Prescott?

AMD is less confusing....But is it reallly time that I should start thinking about 64bit Processor now???
is it gonna support the currenty 32bit application as fast?

I just haven't looked into computer hardwares recently....and now i'm just confused...
reallly don't want to upgrade to a system that would become obsolute in a short time.



Should I upgrade now or wait till we know wats going on....or do you guys already know wats going on...and just not me??
