Hey there. I am currently in the process of getting ready to order a new mobo, cpu, and a pair of gforce 6800gt's for some sweet SLI action. (3 years of saving money required) I am currently running off of a 350w psu that came with my aspire case. 2 sata hd's a dvd drive, a althlon64 3700+ and a pair of gf6800's aren't going to work well (if at all) off of a 350w psu.

A friend recommended this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications...-details.asp?EdpNo=876415&sku=ULT31562 . I like the way that you can easily remove the excess cords, but a 500w psu for only $80 sounds kind of fishy. I've never heard of the company that makes it, so I decided to come here and ask around before blowing $80 on what could be a hunk of junk psu. Any ideas or comments are welcome, but a good/bad word from someone who has owned one would be nice.

Thanks.

Wow, that looks like a nice psu. How do you have your set up for SLI? Adjustable rails must be really nice.

Do not get that X-connect. It sucks. If you want modular, get an Antec NeoPower 480W or a modded PC P & C 510W SLI from performancepc.com

Another vote for the neopower, it also has a nice 120 mm fan so should be rather silent.

neopower480 ios nice but i wouldn't get it for sli.

get the powerstream. and if you saved enough, i'd get the 600w but it is a pretty big jump in $$
