My friend wanted me to help him change his spark plugs on his Hyundai Santa Fe. "Sure, I'll help ya!" -- It turns out you have to take off the upper intake manifold to replace half of the 6 plugs, so it took a LOT longer than we planned for. No wonder the dealer wanted $300 for a tune up.

What engines have you encountered where routine maintenance surprised you?
