Question

I've seen many of these "all your base are belong to us" threads. I don't know what this means, I'm trying to figure out where/how/why this all started, and what it is supposed to mean. I've read the threads, gone to some page and watched a Nintendo like movie, and am just really confused as to what this is all about. Anyone lend a definition/explanation?
