So I got a question. Am I just stupid or what.

So basically a friend owes me $20 and I tell him I need the money and he goes Ill give you your money when my other friend pays me. I get mad at him because I am like thats between you and him and this is between you and me.

So am I correct and my friend just being an ass? or is he correct.

My fault I forgot to add that I did get my money a week after he said that. But he did not get paid from his other friend. I guess he came to his senses because I am sure what I said is 100% correct

You're correct.

I never loan people money if I don't realistically expect it to be paid back. $20 or $100 or $1000. Doesn't matter. If you loan it to a friend you may as well consider it giving them a gift.

I never loan money. I see it more as gifting and don't expect to get it back. With that in mind, I never give out more than a few bucks.

Yep, that's happened to me before. Other dude says "I owe HIM $100, not you". So I say "Well I have acquired your loan and will be adding an increased interest percentage assessed from the date of that acquisition". So he says "WTF!" So I say "Yeah, we'd all be happier if you paid him in the first place".
