This is an interesting situation.
I have a win 2000 box that was running on a old compaq PII233. I need to leave to OS in place as no-one knows where the software discs are.
I am upgrading the box to a P4 unit from Hp/Compaq.

I know that It will not work obiviously as the drivers are so different and I am wondering what is the easiest way, and if this will work for other os ports.

Thanks Guys/Gals

Your best bet is get someone to copy the Windows 2000 cd for you & use your Key from your
current installation .... you can get the key thru various programs such as Aida32

Unfortunatly the issue with the software is not win2k, it is the license key for a piece of software on the machine.

Currently I just tried to slave it and pull the data off but I am getting errors about licensing when I attempt to execute the software.
