I have to bring them into the garage and charge 'em, but can't find a flashlight. Debating if i should keep looking.

Since the acid in batteries is diluted with water, wouldn't it change / lower the freezing point?

Here is your answer:

In a partially discharged state, the electrolyte in a lead acid battery may freeze. At a 40% state of charge, electrolyte will freeze if the temperature reaches approximately ­16.0oF. The electrolyte in a fully charged battery freezes at approximately ­92.0oF.
