I didnt know where to post this, so i will just post it here. I have been trying to play battlefield 1942 online for quite some time, but i was never successful. I have cable so i dont think its that, so i was wondering does your hardware have anything to do if you are able to play games online or not? My computer is a dell 2400 and just barely runs battlefield. If i had a better computer would i be able to play online?

That computer runs on integrated graphics. BF 1942 needs hardware T&L, which that does not have. Try UT 2003 instead. Post that in Software.

2400 really isn't good for gaming. Does the 2400 motherboard even have an AGP slot?

Anyway, can you even play singlepayer in BF1942? If you can't play either than you definitely need to upgrade or play another game. I remember trying to play that on my older computer and it wouldn't even run.
