Depends on the trailer. The size and the amenities.

My aunt-in-law just bought a Jayco tent trailer for $12,000.

I've seen ~25 foot trailers for $6000 used.

Not too many places rent travel trailers. They'll too easily get set in a campground somewhere never to be seen again.

Lots of places rent RVs around here. People like to drive them to Alaska. (Often people who have no business trying to drive such a huge vehicle, but that's beside the point.)
