Does using 2 sticks of 256MB in my ABIT NF7 increase performace over 1 stick of 512MB??
Also, what does dual channel mean??
 
Put one stick in the 3rd DDR slot and the other stick in either of the other 2 and voila! You have successfully activated Dual Chan DDR 🙂!
 
It's like a <5% boost, you get a much greater boost using dual channel in a system that uses the onboard video.

The RAM also has to be somewhat matched in specs for it to work.
