Question with ME

Well, if I put what I really wanted in the topic, people wouldn't look. However, I'm dual booting right now (2k/ME) and would realllllly like to just go 98/2k, or possibly just 2k. Anywho, my question is simple. How do I get just one game (Spider Solitaire) off ME, so I could install seperatly? I don't like the game, but I'm 17 years old, still leave with mom, and of course, she does. So, how do I get the computer the way I want it, yet let her have some fun with that game?

Sounds newbie, no?

Why dont you set up User accounts on the OS that you want your mom to have her own settings on and that way you wont be changing her stuff and she wont be changing yours.

Hmm... Sorry, I wasn't all that clear.

Spider Solitaire is on WinME, not 98, or 2k. I work in 2k most often, unless I go to play one of my games (my Force Feedback controller doesn?t work in 2k, so I gotta have two OS). Now, I'm sick of ME screwing up when I'm in there, plus with my experiences, I think 98SE has better performance. The only thing holding me back is that game. I've already shortcut it to 2k, so she can play it stabile, however, I don't want ME at all. So how do I get the full game off the ME CD, (by Burning to CD would work perfectly) and then just install it after I get 98 on the PC?

So I need to get Spider Solitaire from ME to 98, in a nutshell. She doesn't know enough to make much of a mess, so I'm not worried with the accounts.

Thanks, and I hope I was a bit clearer this time.

The game per se isn't here, but this Solitaire Freeware Application contains the Spider Solitaire game within it's options.

Freeware Solitaire Game that contains Spider Game

Plus, your Mom will have even more options.

Downside: It is ad-supported. But then, so is ICQ these days. Can probably figure out how to disable the ads if need-be with the freeware resource hacker program.

What happens when you simply copy the spider solitaire .exe to Windows 2000 and try to run it there?
Does it complain that it needs other files? How about copying them over, too.

Here's another game that's totally freeware that's essentially Spider Solitaire:
