just need advice on value for the money they want, also if anybody can recommend something else.

I wouldn't recommend that. The machine does not have enough weight, 155lbs is barley enough for benchpress for most, let alone legs. My advice is spend $300 on your local Powerhouse gym, they have nice equipment and they often include extras like tanning ( if you are into that). But if you want to stay at home I hear the bowflex is nice, but I would go with something more traditional like a universal or precor http://www.precor.com/weight-lifting-equipment.htm

buy free weights and a good bench man. You can do a whole lot with 1 bench and a few weights. Plus free weights are better than machines. Not only for building muscle but for maitenence and "cost of upgradeability" Or join a health club like i did, it cost me 75$ the first month, then 35 for 6months, now i pay like 24/mo after a year
