I think that both of those processors suck! Get yourself a 2.4C or 2.6C, and either an 865PE or an 875 chipset to go with it, and never look back!🙂
I remember awhile back something about a 2.oghz celeron oc'd to 3.0ghz still wasn't faster then a 2.0ghz p4a....
So I agree I say get the northwood with 4x the l2 cache and 2x the l1 cache and oc it...Many of those did 133fsb very easily and some like mine did 2.74ghz with 1.7v...The p4a's seem to take vcore a bit better then newer chips so holding a 1.7v max philosphy and a moderate aftermarket cooler and 2.4ghz could be attained...the newer the stepping for the 1.6a the better. i don't think they had any c1 steppings but I believe they had B0 steppnig and look for the highest marked one alphanumerically in the SL code.....fab dates of May 2002 or better and this thing may do 2.4ghz and above....
the comparison is gonna be application specific so you might wanna check out some benchmarks before you decide
cause the crippled cache on the celeron will matter big in some things and hardly at all in other things
