question: Web hosting w/ security

My new client expects to be the target of lots of hacker attacks, and they are looking fo a new host.

What advice can anyone give me about selecting a host and a package. their bandwidth won't justify a dedicated server.

thanks

Some top quality web hosts utilitize hardware and software solutions to deter hackers (or at least script kiddies).

What's your budget for web hosting?

I think they'd be willing to pay around $250/month, especially if there was a real advantage.

This came up with another client once, and the host sold us a dedicated DB server with shared web server. I was never convinced that there was any real benefit to that.

If you have $250/month to work with it sure looks like a dedicated server with some decent security should do the trick...
