I'm not sure where to put the thermal probe and it's pretty loud right now running at full speed. I have a 1800+ right now and used arctic silver 3... Should it be under the heatsink on top of the cpu like the directions say or placed somewhere else? Thanks.

It should be underneath the cpu where all the pins are. Also plug in the yellow wire to the cpufan header to check the rpm.

i would think btw the cpu and the heatsink...maybe you should read the instruction if there is any...if not, go to TT website to find out...putting the thermal probe under the CPU would be impoosible...how would you manage to have a thermal wire between your socket and cpu without the cpu in place?

Yea thats what it says at thermaltake.com and thats how i did mines. The wires between the pins are very thin like floss and after that is the thinker wires, so that makes it possible. Also my p4 chip is smaller then athlon xp so i had to bend the sensor a lil bit to fit under the chip. I love that fan, fan speeds up when i play games and goes down when just surfing the net.
