question to wow players...

So I got a friend i introduced to wow and hes like super addicted. He spends a good chuck of time outside of work playing WoW. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I want to get him to take a break for a while and I came up with an idea Im not sure will work.

We both have the login info for each others account. I was thinking I would kill his guy, and run is spirit to somewhere really far away from his corpse. I'm pretty sure he can res at any spirit healer in the zone, so I have to think of a way to make him have to go really far to get back.

We have horde characters. I was thinking that I would die in like Blasted Lands, then run his guy as a spirit into iron forge and then into that tram.

Hes never played a ally guy so hes not familiar with the ally side.

Would this work? Anyone have any better ideas?

by killing his character and running his spirit, wouldnt that cause him to play longer inorder to find his spirit (i dont play wow)... how about you say, dude lets go out and do something

the funny part would be if u did this, that he signs on your account and deletes all your characters

We once summoned someones toon to an isolated spot with high level mobs. Do that and throw away his hearthstone.

He wouldn't delete my char because he plays it more than I do. I stopped playing a while ago and just log in to tell him let go eat or something.

Man, that sucks that WoW doesn't do that for you. In EQ, when you zone, there were messages displayed while you were zoning to remind you to go eat.

Can you get the hearthstone back somehow?

You can get a new hearthstone from any inn

This sounds like a great idea but I think for it to work best Id have to run him somewhere where this is no flightpoint near.

Maybe I could run him into IF...

He works 10 hour shifts so I think I have time for that. I know the spawn timer goes up each time you die. At least I can make it 10 yards each time. 🙂

Just for the hell of it. He's not that serious about it and will just laugh.
If he's not that serious why does he need a break?

He doesn't really need to take a break I guess im exaggerating. He plays probably 3 hours a day. I just want to mess with him really.

it's not going to work, i think when you log off, and log back in again, you'll show up next to your corpse. at least that was the case last year.

I believe, that if you die in the blasted lands, then run his spirit to the tram or something then when he uses the nearest spirit healer it will just rez him in the blasted lands.

You have GOT to be out of your mind to let anyone else know your login. How retarded is that? Just asking for trouble. You're paying a lot of money for WoW, don't take any chances like that.

you can't drop it...

you can destroy a hearthstone, and you get it back just by going to an inn and setting it.

the best way to do this is just to cancel his account, and let the prank play out sometime in the next month... sure it'll probally be a short time he's not playing while he reenters his cc info.. but he might get the idea.
