So pretty much the daycare center is run and managed by men. Men are the one's taking care of your children while you are at work. Would you take your children there. If not state your reasons?????

Is there really a place like this or is this purely hypothetical?

I'm a man but wouldn't take my child to such a daycare. Honestly I am always wary of men who are particularly fond of children.

what about men fondling particular children

Clever! hah

Depends. I would want to meet all the caretakers there and would make a decision based on how I felt about them, the background checks they run, etc. Same as I would do for any daycare. But then again, I don't want kids and so probably am not representative of the population you want to ask. I also know two guys that have worked as daycare providers and they're both fantastic, so I have a previous bias.

My thoughts are that daycare/childcare is dominated by women for a reason - they are better at it and more tempermentally suited for the job. I would apply a big double standard to an all-male facility and frankly would trust it very much without a huge amount of due diligence to ensure the safety of my children.

As a man I generally don't trust other men. There are many things for which you can rely on other men, but taking care of children, pets or anything else generally isn't one of them, imo. No doubt there are many great fathers out there, but taking care of someone else's child? Nah.

Tempermentally suited? WTF are you smoking? Have you ever dated a woman who wasn't effing crazy AT least 1 week a month if not more? That made me laugh so hard I had to show the guy sitting next to me what you wrote.

They do dominate that field with that I agree. I think its less about their nature and more about how were still just barely out of the "woman stay home, me caveman kill dinosaur" era. Im not saying this is always the case but the guys I know with kids really dont get into the taking care of kids thing as it is percieved as "woman-ly".

Im also a single dad so I see all these crazy moms all the time not being anywhere near calm / collected.

Pretty much my thoughts. Women are biologically wired to pay more attention to teeny weeny little details, so I'd more trust a woman to notice the crucial little details re children, who might have a hard time clearly communicating their wants and needs.

I'm not saying that men are retarded and don't pay attention to anything, but the fact is that men's brains and women's brains are simply attuned to notice different environmental details, and such a difference could be crucial in a constantly-changing environment dominated by small children.

That said, if such a daycare exists, I'd expect that it must be pretty damn successful to be around in the first place, so I probably wouldn't worry too much.

Then again, I can't imagine that if such a place existed, the guys that were running it wouldn't be running it to prove a point, which would turn me off of sending my kids there. I hate it when people do stuff just to prove some sort of logistical point. 😛

Edit for grammar and typos.

My thoughts exactly.

As a grandmother - no, I wouldn't. It's too strange, and I would avoid anything unusual when looking for day care.

Unless, of course, they were really cheap. What the hell. Do you know what day care costs??

The caretakers at my daughter's daycare(s) have a particular type of personality that no man I've ever been around has.

So another vote for "no, and they don't exist for a reason".

I know how impatient I am with my kids at times - I think the more nurturing gender should be running this kind of show.
