Question to those working in the computer field and nano field.

Hi all,

I'm doing a BS in Computer Science at the moment, and am planning to do a second BS as a dual major. I've currently been working at credits that would land me in the Biochemistry or Materials Chemistry BS degree along with the CS, but am unsure if there's really much demand for pairings like that. My advisors so far have been a little less than helpfull...

"That's a good coupling."
"You should be able to find a job with that."

Fair enough, but is such a pairing in demand? Or would I be finding a job in one field with little use for the other? At what it's costing in tuition these days, I've no desire to carry a loan for a BS that I won't really use, especially since I could just switch gears and do the MS in CS instead.

So, I'm turning to the guru's here that are already in the fields, any help is greatly appriciated.

The bioinformatics lab attached to my uni was actually hiring people like that when I graduated. It's funny, the developer who works there that I spoke to had a software degree/experience and was currently taking a biology major. I was the exact opposite, with a degree in chemical biology and taking a master's in software engineering.
