The average America has no idea or not a clue what-so-ever of the involvement and unwanted influence, all very secret and sinister, that America has put this region thru for decades. Going back to Jimmy Carter and the Shaw, and years before that, America has tried to control the middle east solely because of their oil.
America thrives on oil, and the middle east has most of that oil, so naturally greed and the effort to control that region and control that oil in that region, and control that region itself is something America has been doing for decades.
So is it any wonder that they would hate America so, and do not trust America at all, and cheer when bad things happens to Americans?
Really.... if the situation were reversed we Americans would be glad and would also rejoice when bad things happened to over there. If they were over here influencing our government, controlling our leaders, and rigging our elections and installing the leaders that they wanted us to have, wouldn't America be just as pissed with them as they are with us?
For decades the sinister dark side of American politics has messed in middle eastern affairs and caused great destruction and death of innocent people.
Sure, they are pissed at America and why shouldn't they be? Would we roll over and take it if the situation were reversed?
Is this so hard to understand?
Americans for the most part hate middle easters and hate their religion, and those of us that do not hate have still little tolerance for their culture or their religion.
So they hate us and hate our way of life, and Americans can't seem understand where that hate comes from. You'd need to experience that from their perspective to really understand.

So here we are again, and again its all about THE OIL.
The fear that oil production will be affected over there, and thus prices at the gas pump affected over here. Americans don't like high gas prices... right? And Donald Trump has enough to worry about with his upcoming reelection, so Trump doesn't want oil to play any part or high gas prices at the pump to threaten his getting reelected.
So we go to war over there, they die over there, and Americans can't quite understand their hate for America.
If from over there they were dropping bombs on Chicago or new York, Americans would not like that. Not one bit.
Just as Americans hate planes crashing into our buildings and institutions and killing innocent Americans over here, middle eastern's hate being attacked over there as well.
It goes both ways. Too bad most Americans can only see it from one way, from only one perspective.

A lot of this could be avoided if only America and our leaders would seriously embrace self energy efficiency and embrace clean energy.
But our leaders refuse.
Donald Trump touts coal and dirty outdated sources of energy while fighting against the environment and clean energy.
So.... here we go again. THE OIL.
With no doubt more war, more troops, extremely high costs to the American taxpayer, and all or what?
America "could" have it both ways. That is, having clean energy from cars to homes and with also avoiding the costly wars.
We could have it all and save a hell of a lot of money at the same time. And one side effect to that, the middle east wouldn't hate us so much. They might even learn from our leadership and our clean energy dedication.
Would that be wonderful?
But no, that will never happen because we keep electing Donald Trump's and Mitch McDonnell's. Then we have wars, deaths, recessions. Followed by even more wars, more deaths, and more recessions.
Round and round it goes....

Shah, he was the Shah of Iran, not Shaw. ;)

So Cheney wasn't a greedy a-hole but a racist, greedy a-hole?

Cheney was about power and a perpetual American Hegemony at just about any cost. That he profited along with many others was added incentive. That is what Iraq was about and it was an idiots errand to begin with.

I'm not sure if he was or not, but he needs/needed the support of racist motherfuckers that just want to see brown people die as the convenient consequence for him enriching himself, which is clearly just fine with him.

Obviously, the GOP and its supporters were always the perfect fit for that kind of policy.

It seems that you disagree with simple observational truth?
