Anyone know how to remove the cubby hole in the dash in a 02 VW Passat? Does it need a removal tool like the radio, or does it just pop out?

Probably need a super-secret tool. VWs are a total pain to work on. Even for head/tail light replacement they tell you to see the dealership (give me a break). It took a long time to change the tail lights in my GFs jetta. Had to damn near disassemble the entire trunk. So in conclusion, there is probably no easy way. However, I would imagine there is a VM/Passat Owers Club/Forum out there somewhere, so maybe look for something like that and ask there.

What????

Headlight replacement on my '00 Passat: 30 seconds
Tailight replacement on my Passat: 1 minute

I've got a wagon though...maybe that helps. (at least for the tail light)

VWVortex has never been useful to me for any VW-related tech stuff.
