Question to Those that play WOW

I played EQ of and on for 5 Years found the High end game not fun due to waiting for groups to long 3+ hours even with my 64 chanter. Basicly I find Grouping more fun than Solo but work odd hours 12 hr swing. So basicly are groups hard to find if you play a Warrior or Druid and is there a lot of good Solo content will you are waiting for groups

There is tons of solo content. At least half the game can be solod, if not more. I find it difficult to form groups in the game, mostly because there doesn't seem to be a global group channel and the game is severely lacking in features that support grouping. But then again, I came from FFXI which had quite a good system for finding groups, at least compared to WoW, DAoC, and EQ.

Personally, I have had NO trouble finding groups. People have invited me randomly to join their group when I am just passing by. I ask them which quests they are doing, and if I have them in my log book, I'll do them. Sometimes I will ask if they need help, just depends on what I am doing at that time.

In my experience, you will have the easiest time finding a group with a Druid (as long as you're restoration specced and don't mind being the healer). You can solo all the non-instance content though, and finding groups isn't hard at all anyway. They are implementing group finding "meeting stones" soon that will automatically pair you up with other classes.

Eq got a lot beeter in Finding if there were some looking for 1 Just type /lfg and a window would pop up with a set lv range but you could change the lv's then hit finbd and it would show you all LFG that matched you critria.

But thanks I just dont want to pay $40 some for a online game before i new more about it.

Solo can be fun If it is a new class and new Game I guess but playing on line to solo mainly dosnt make a lot of since to me. I have Halflife 2 and Farcry but I finished them both to fast ( Farcry was more of a challenge) after that I dont like starting the games over much.

Thanks again for the reply

Well you actually can search for players by level and zone, and you can put up a little "Looking for group" tag next to your name that people will see when they search, but most people just do "LFG ..." in chat.

grouping is very easy if youre a highly desired class, or a part of the holy trinity. (tank, healer, damage dealer)

unfortunately classes like hunters and warlocks are sort of the misfits out of the bunch and have a harder time finding groups at higher levels. but if youre in a good guild and dont play like an idiot, youll always be able to find groups regardless of class...

get on a med (or a high) pop server that does not have the que, i bet you will find a group to do any quest at any level
