Rich/smart people don't spend money very often. ;)

Take a picture of one and give it to her instead and be happy having your cash earning 10%. ;)

I'm not big on checking out the 'Net for gemstones unless it's for research purposes. You really need to see the rock in person and examine it. IMO, still the best avenue for this purpose to see the local wholesaler/retailer in your area. There will be one for sure unless you live way in the sticks.

I'm not talking about your local retailer in the mall since they are basically small box formula stores. You need to find a place that has their own gemologists on hand and a person who works the front desk who also trips 4x a year to places like Jerusalem, New York etc for rock shopping. That's the place to go.

The reason why i'm telling you this because you are looking for an "orange" saphire which means
= fancy stones. Specialists like the people i'm talking about can aquire samples readily for your inspection at a better price than the rest.

Having said all this i'm sure that you can find fancy stones at www.bluenile.com

Good luck.

How much you looking to spend? I am probably going to be seeing my jeweler in a week or two. He gets me items at cost or a drop above. (Engagement ring cost about 4k and is appraised near 10k.) I can ask him to look for a specific gemstone in your price range.

hmm thanx, Orange Sapphire is stone name, looking for something to match 2 tear drop earings, probly a tear drop necklace, just looking right now, am seriously looking for a car unfortunatly, so can't state range, have seen some stones for $130 could pull that together for this weekend, but again, im just curius, because only ones I've seen where the ones hanging from her ears, did find some on the web, but they were mainly larger stones, and they seem to be running at nearly a thou per carat, feel free to give my email addy to your jeweler, if he's willing to take a look around, I also know someone in the search for an engagement ring too soo I might be able to offer him some other business too. Thanx a bunch
