Question to all you Toshiba DVD drive owners

Do your drives get hot? Mine gets very hot and you can definietly feel it outside my Lian Li PC60 Aluminum case. Outside it's very warm. Do your DVDROMs get that hot? Its like that all the time, even when there is no disc in tehre.
 
My three year old Toshiba 5x (4.8x) DVD Rom drive does not get hot at all.. Of course it is in a dell case, which is designed amazingly well, and keeps it cool.. but no, it doesnt get half as hot as my Lite-On 48x CD-Rom drive..
