Why is it that the market always sways towards faster yet still consecutive-execution products....?
I know products such as SCSI drives and a lot of network equipment handles instructions simultaneously, but why partel is everyone still stuck on one instruction?
Obviously netowrking uses chips, but their structure is always parallel, however 'outboard' their methods may be...
I would much rather have a "hyperhtreading" cpu than have a many Ghz that still make you wait....
Anyone care to comment....?
I am no expert on the subject, so knowledgable feedback would be appreciated....
