Just in general I'm wondering in what way any of you think the internet has impacted the world. Be it social reasons, economic reasons etc. If you lived during a time before internet be sure to chime into how your life has changed.

It's not homework. I just wanted some insight from old people who know what it's like to live without the internet, when most of the members here wouldn't even be able to go a week without it now.

wow...access to information in real time essentially, web-conferencing, working from home, INSTANT news dissemination, etc, etc.

I haven't lived without the internet but I think often about what we would do without it. I can barely go 2 days without getting on, I have no clue what I would do without it. Probably play more board games. I love board games.

the internet revolutionized the world. globalization and instant communication are made possible by the digital revolution. the internet is probably one of if not the most significant breakthrough of the 20th century (excuse my grammar).
