Question regarding the BEFSR41 and file sharing.

I've been reading the manual, the box and Linksys' website for this router of mine, and I can't figure out if this thing serves as a way to share files.

I've got 2 comps running win2k pro, and when I click on the "My Network Places" icon, I can see the other computer on the network(?), but the only files I can get to are "Printers" and "Scheduled tasks". Do I need additional equipment to share files?

And I'd like to thank all of the kind people who answer questions on this forum. I've conned alot of people into thinking I know what I'm doing by using your advice. 🙂

You have to specify which directories are shared on the other computers. In addition, make sure you install the 'File and Print Sharing' service in your network properties.

I checked the C drives on both of my computers and they both have the "share this folder" option marked. What could be keeping them from doing this?
