LOL ... this is why I'm confused. I think "single ... dependent of another" meant someone is depending on him? hence, why they are now asking for spousal information

They have forms to cover all possibilities. If your brother is single, you'd obviously (well, maybe not so obviously 😕 ) leave that part blank.

Are you sure you should be doing this for him? 😕
