Hi everyone.
I have a question regarding the Dolby Digital decoding of SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 and SoundBlaster Audigy.
According to 3DnHardware.com, SB Audigy's "Dolby Digital decoding is handled by the drivers but not in hardware as there will be a CPU performance hit when enabling Dolby Digital decode"
Is that true? One of the main reason I bought the SB Live! 5.1 was because it boasted hardware Dolby Digital decoding. Or is it like Audigy?
