Question Regarding Restoring from Backup

Hey guys. Just got a new iphone. I'm a huge fan of a news reader called Pulse that was bought by linkedin and discontinued about a year ago. I have it on my old iphone and it still works. If I backup and restore to a new iphone will my app and all my setting be brought over to the new phone? Thanks!
 
If you backup your old phone to your computer and restore that backup to your new phone, it should include applications as well. Restoring from iCloud will only work if the app is still available in the App Store.

It'll bring back over everything, including apps and app data. Just make sure you do a full backup in the latest version of iTunes (old versions of iTunes had you manually transfer copied apps to a folder but it doesn't do that anymore).
 
hey guys. for some reason it loads my account but the app doesn't pull down my news feeds....any theories as to why this is the case?
