*Here's to hoping I'm not the only techie + drafter on these forums and someone knows WTF I'm talking about*
So we have about 15 machines at work, all with Quadro FX1500's and Pentium D dual cores. We use Autocad 08/09 with usually relatively small models. Lately a few machines developed issues which neccessitated OS reinstalls. I was helping out our tech guy by doing the reinstalls for him but we can't figure out how to properly set up the drivers and 3dconfig
I've tried the first two types of drivers below, and orbiting on a tiny model with just a few feet of pipe and a couple valves is so slow it degrades almost immediately (using default 3dconfig setting with hardware accel enabled). Some of our machines with identical hardware are orbiting just fine so I know it's a software thing
There are three choices in drivers to use - General quadro fx1500 drivers from nvidia, "autocad performance drivers" from nvidia, or drivers from autodesk themselves. Which should I use? In 3dconfig -> manual tune should I use D3D, openGL, or ?
Any thoughts on what settings in or out of autocad I need to setup or anything I'm missing?
