Question Regarding Phone Bill Scams, Etc.

One of the guys at work got a charge on his cell number and claims he did not have anything to do with it. He claims he got a wrong number or something. Are there any scams where somebody calls you and without you knowing it bills you collect or a per minute charge??

I think he's lying but I don't know what scams they've got going these days.

don't know about outside scams, but the telcos do screw up fairly often and charge people for calls they did not make. i've called in to have things removed off my landline bill a couple times.

I figured as much, but he otherwise doesn't seem like the type. Wanted to see if there were any scams that he might have been taken on before we took action.

Oh, and the weird part is it was a call he received, not dialed. I wasn't even aware they had the ability to do that...
