Question regarding Pageplus prepaid service

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if you can bring any phone you want to their service (ex. Samsung Galaxy 3) or do you have to use the phones they sell only.

You can use most (not all) Verizon post-paid phones. If it's a pre-paid Verizon phone that's never been used w/ Verizon, it won't work.

I don't think Page Plus will activate any LTE capable phone. And they are still kinda vague on the iPhone. Official stance is that they won't activate iPhones. Unnoficial stance is that some Page Plus resellers will activate for users.

Im thinking if new phones cant be used, ill just bring my DroidX over to pageplus service, which should work since they sell refurbished Droidx's on their site.

Fell out of my seat when I saw their cheapest plan for $12/month, even though it only has 10mb data, im always near a wifi point.

PagePlus rocks. I have 4 lines on their for the family, and spend a grand total of $82. I was spending that for 1 line on Verizon. I use http://www.kittywireless.com for all my PagePlus stuff...

Paid $80 for a 1 year/2000 minute plan. Barely used $6 of that plan, since my cellphone used is only for emergencies. Used a Samsung SCH-u740 I had when was was paying Verizon $70/month for 450 minutes. Activation was free too. :thumbsup:

I'm also thinking of switching to Pageplus. One of our phones is a LGVX5500, prepaid that I bought at Walmart maybe three years ago. This phone was never used as a prepaid but instead went directly to our regular Verizon account. Think I can use this phone on a Pageplus account? For some reason I look forward to phone shopping (especially for someone else) as much as a trip to the dentist.

Where did you purchase this plan? I was looking on the page plus website and is not listed.

Also does anyone know if my droidx will function if it only has voice minutes and no data plan?

You have to buy that plan from a reseller. I use callingmart.com google for coupons they always have some percent off.

You can use the droid but install droid wall. It needs root and blocks all data use from 3G. If you don't you will be billed per data used. It will drain your balance.

Verizon phones that are sold in their prepaid package will not work on PagePlus.
