i am running a C600 @ 900 using abit bh6 rev 1.1 with the latest (SP) bios and an abit slotket III.

i have had no problems running it at 900. i have a few questions regarding overclocking beyond 900.

1. i read some thread which mentioned the existence of a turbo setting for bh6 for 100 fsb, so that it is possible to attain 103 fsb. however i cannot find such a setting under the "user defined" speed settings, and the highest predefined speed for the current bios is 850(100). am i supposed to see a turbo setting, or have i missed something, causing it not to be there?

2. i have been running at 900 at 1.7v, using the user defined core voltages. i had set my slotket jumpers at auto for both fsb and voltage. i realise though that even if i set the voltage on the slotket as 1.7v, the user defined voltage still ranges only from 1.3v to 1.7v. should this be the case?

3. i tried running at 105 * 9, with a voltage of 1.75v (set on the slotket). halfway through booting windows, i saw a message appeared momentarily on my screen, reporting some error in booting windows, and then there was this message telling me it is now safe to restart my computer using ctrl-alt-del. does this mean that my harddisk is unable to take the higher than normal (105 * 1/3 = 35 mhz) pci bus speed, and hence i could not start windows properly? the harddisk running my OS is an IBM 14 GXP 10.1 gb hdd. i had thought that newer hdd would be able to handle a higher bus speed.

thanks!

its not your HDD or your OS. Im running the same CPU and HDD as you. The only difference i have is a ASUS P3V4X MB. What cooling are you using? Im using an Orb. Works great for me. I can run at 945 usually. Lately I seem to have problems running at that speed though. Had to go down to 927.
I would try it at 1.8v then at the most try 1.85v. Is your cooling is decent you shouldnt have a problem with these. If you using a stock retail HS/F i would stick with the 1.7v@900 ;)
Good Luck

Wuming,
I don't know why the turbo frequency selection would not be in your bios. I have a BH6 rev 1.0 with latest SS bios. The turbo frequency on mine is directly below the User Defined setting. It is greyed out unless user defined is selected and FSB is set to 66 or 100. The FSB selection is directly below the turbo frequency setting. When User defined is selected and FSB is set to 100(33) my turbo frequency turns white allowing me to enable it giving me 103FSB (+2.5%). Thats about all I can tell you.

Wuming,
I just realized there's another difference between our two boards. You stated you tried to run at 105*9 but my board doesn't have 105. It goes from 100 to 112. May these differences are from mine being a rev 1.0 and yours being a 1.1. Anyone else know?
