Question: Regarding Marriages.

bleeb

Lifer
I'm currently watching a television drama where the situation goes something like...

1. Single Father with Son.
2. Single Mother with Daughter.
3. These two families are NOT related to each other by blood.

Now if the Son and Daughter got married.... do you think it's weird if the Mother and Father got married too??

Most people dont think about this... but anyone remember the movie Twins with Arnold Schwartzenegger and Danny DeVito and Kelly Preston and i forget the other girls name...

don't you guys find it wierd too that two brothers got married to two sisters??

happens more often than you think in real life.

If the son/daughter are adults living out of the house when their parents marry one another, or if the kids get married first and parents second, I don't see a problem with it. If their parents get married when the son/daughter are just kids and they grow up in the same household as step-siblings, that's just plain creepy.

hahah i agree with that. =) at first i thought it was sick, but then I thought about it... the first situation is actually okay...

At first glance you can easilly come up with situations where it might work. But I say that it probably isn't a good idea in the long run. For example, suppose the kids get divorced. Then comes the next big holiday where there is a family gathering. You have to pick and choose which kid to exclude when all of the rest of the family is together (or you have to deal with intense arguments at every family gathering).
