Long time lurker. first time poster 🙂
I have a Gigabyte PH67A UD3 B3 motherboard with a pcie 2.0 x16 and x4 slots. My GPU is the Gigabyte Radeon 6950 2GB model, shader unlocked and OCed to 6970 clocks. My Os is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
I will be playing Arkham City when it releases and am interested in creating a Hybrid Physx setup. But I am confused on one area.
According to http://arabic.english.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3766#sp my motherboard will move from an x16/x4 config to x4/x4 when crossfire is enabled.
However, if I plug in an Nvidia card in the x4 slot, my Radeon card should still operate at x16, right?
Am confused on this, and tech support couldn't grasp the fact that I was going to install an AMD card along with an Nvidia card ("Not possible sir. Driver conflicts!")
Hope someone will be able to help me out.
