Can you make a partition inactive without deleting the partion so you can hook up the drive to another computer to get so files off of it?

I'm pretty sure if you stick the hd into another computer partitioned it will remain partitioned and you will be able to get all your file off anyway.

And no I don't think there is a way to make it inactive without deleting it.

you dont have to do all that, jus uninstall the drive out of that box and install it on another box either as a primary slave, or whatever..

:DHi,
I thinkthis answer is right.
You do not have to make the partition inactive.
Just plug it into your secondary cable.The active partition on this
drive "c" will become "D" in my computer,ect.
The rest of the partitions on the boot drive will follow "E,F" ect.
Then the balance of the partitions on the second drive will follow.

C= C on primary drive
D= C on secondary drive
E= D on primary drive
ect

Clear as mud,right
