the 'expert tool' that gainward installs allow me to adjust the fan speed for 2D and 3D mode. at full speed the fan is loud and annoying but usually i'll be playing games with speakers on loud to drown it out. If i use nvidias drivers, how can i still control the fan speed. i have to set the 2D fan speed to 50% to keep it from being annoying.
